The Afghan Diaspora Center has been actively supporting the renovation and revitalization of school facilities across Afghanistan — providing Afghan youth with safe, functional, and dignified learning environments. Projects are listed from most recent to earliest.
Diaspora donations funded new doors, windows, and a protective entrance gate for this girls' school. The project was carried out under the local leadership of Dr. Roshanak Wardak and the community shura, with engineer Nasser Taib overseeing construction — providing students with a safer, more dignified learning environment.
The protective boundary wall and entrance gate of Shikh-Aabad Lycee were fully rebuilt as part of a joint reconstruction initiative. Coordinated locally by Dr. Abdul Wali Wardak, Malek Abdul Qadus Khan, and Dr. Roshanak Wardak, and funded through appeals to the Afghan diaspora in the US and Europe.
The boundary walls of Zarni Lycee were rebuilt as part of a joint initiative with Captain TajMohammad Khan Lycee, organized by community shura leaders including Dr. Abdul Wali Wardak and Malek Abdul Qadus Khan. The combined effort raised $3,400 from Afghan diaspora donors across the United States.
Boundary wall reconstruction at Captain TajMohammad Khan Lycee, completed jointly with Zarni Lycee under a single coordinated community initiative. Both schools' walls were planned, funded, and reported together — honoring the school's legacy while securing its grounds for generations of students.
Renovation carried out by Children's Support Relief, led by Jalaluddin Wardak — an organization deeply committed to girls' education in Afghanistan. Funded entirely through diaspora donations, this project restored the school and created a safer, more welcoming learning environment for its students.
Renovated through the Malgari Zdakawoonki (Fellow Students) diaspora giving circle. Work included roof waterproofing and insulation over 1,670 m², interior painting, door and window repairs, a new solar power system, and computer and networking equipment for classrooms and the school office.
The founding school renovation of ADC's Education Initiative. ADC's public appeal to the Afghan diaspora raised funds to rebuild the classroom block in local stone masonry, construct a secure entrance gate, and plant a new courtyard — transforming bare walls into a finished, freshly painted school serving the girls and boys of Saidabad District.
A community-driven effort to digitize and preserve Afghan cultural materials — photographs, stories, music, and documents — for future generations. We are collecting contributions from community members and building an accessible online archive.
